Paris day 2 was still cold and yet we found ourselves making our way to the Notre Dame Cathedral near the Seine and quite a bit away from our BnB. Nonetheless, it was a great day and we got to walk the streets of Paris taking our time along the way.
When we were leaving the BnB I spotted this mailbox and I almost died, The Malfoy's!!! It must be a relative since we were in Paris |
This is the front door of the building we were staying at |
The street we stayed on Rue Francois Bonvin |
These were our morning treats
Apple brioche, Croissant, Baguette
River Seine |
Us in front of Notre Dame |
As a man sitteth...Wela on a bench |
We spotted this boat restaurant! We got to go inside the cathedral but the towers were closed due to weather...But is was still beautiful |
After Notre Dame, we walked around the Latin Quarter and along the Seine in search of Shakespeare & Company bookstore...We forgot to get the address so there were many failed attempts at getting directions and still not finding it.
Saw this guy on the side of a building...It reminded me of the street art on Exit at the Giftshop |
We found the bookshop and it was amazing as far as bookshops go!
We ended up catching the Metro back to save our feet further ache and walked to the Eiffel tower after dinner to see what the line was like for going to the top...Luckily, since it was cold and a weekday the line wasn't that bad and we decided to go up and see Paris lit up
We walked over just in time to see the light show that happens every hour
Most of you know I'm afraid of heights but when given the chance to experience something like the Eiffel tower I'll do it...But I was a little weary just with the elevator ride up
Paris was a beautiful sight at the top! I felt safer in the enclosed part of the tower but seeing everything lit up can really take your breath away.
We definitely made a good decision going up to the Eiffel tower that night because it really was a sight to see!
Now I'll leave you with a funny picture of the lift/elevator in the building we were in...Imagine both of us in here for 6 floors!!! We could barely move!
