Europe or Bust!: London, England Part 2

The changing of the guard at the Buckingham Palace was at 11:30am and we made it just in time!  It is a bit of a spectacle with furry hat soldiers dressed and marching down the street toward Buckingham Palace.  There was a huge crowd in front of the palace and since we got there late (sleepy us and no alarm set) it was impossible to get a close up to the happenings inside the gate.  We got to see the guards and the palace so it was still a good time!

This was the huge crowd I was talking about!

Wela and I across the street from the Buckingham Palace

Unfortunately, the Queen mother was not in Buckingham Palace that day! Only the British flag was flying.
 Gate to Buckingham Palace

A nice stranger took this for us...I was a little weary he'd run away with our camera...but he didn't!
 Buckingham fountain

 Telephone booth picture!
 Big Ben and Parliament
Westminster Abbey! We didn't pay to go in but it was lovely on the outside

 Fisheye of Big Ben

At the Horse guard museum...This horse nibbled on Wela's coat

Old school Double-decker

The next two pictures will crack you up! It is pure awesome ahahahaha!

We found the Ministry of Magic! Or at least the exact spot this scene was shot at in Harry Potter: The Deathly Hallows Part 1!!!  I know we are nerds!

 Trafalgar Square
Here's another Harry Potter goody:  Diagon alley was shot in this little alleyway on the first movie, Sorceror's Stone!

I love weird signs and graffiti
In our first official London, England Double-decker bus! It was kinda crazy because as you were scrambling up the stairs they start to drive and it is definitely the INSANE type of driving!
At the Phantom of the Opera show at Her Majesty's Theatre in the West End...Our seats were in the Balcony - Extremely high up (stairs only) and very cramped seating...But all in all a great show!

Next up: Our last day in London and traveling to Paris...also, a special "FOOD EDITION"
